Fergie Music Profile and Pics

Fergie was born to the name of Stacy as Ferguson, on March 27, 1975 in Hacienda Heights, California. Her career began at the age of eight, when she did the voice of Sally Brown in the cartoon Charlie Brown. Over the next five years, she was in over 100 episodes of Kids Incorporated.

Fergie's music career began in 1990 upon forming the band, Wild Orchid. She left the band shortly after their label refused to release their third alum. During this time, Fergie modeled for Guess and Bongo. She also had her own show on the Fox Family channel called, "The Great Pretenders."

In 2003, Fergie was asked to record the song "Shut Up" for the Black Eyed Peas. She accepted and the band loved her. She was asked to record more songs for the band and soon became a permanent member of the Black Eyed Peas.

Although she continues working with the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie release her first solo album, "The Dutchess" in 2006, selling more than 6 million copies world wide.  Her album was a success and three songs, "London Bridge", Big girls Don't Cry' and "Glamorous", hit the number 1 spot on the charts.

2007 proved to be a very rewarding year for Fergie. At the American Music Awards, she won "Favorite female Artist" for the Pop or rock category. Then she received a Grammy nomination for "Best female pop Vocal Performance" for her song, "Big Girls Don't Cry." Finally, for the December issue of blender magazine, they names Fergie as "Woman of the Year."

Fergie took somewhat of a singing break for the two years and returned to acting.  Then in March 2009 and reunited, the Black Eyed Peas released, "Boom Boom Pow."  The song quickly climbed to the number one spot and became the groups first chart topper.  The group along with Fergie have since recorded more chart topping hits, released an album in 2010 titled, "The Beginning, " and performed at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.  It is only a matter of time before we see what Fergie has in store for us next.
